Every new member regardless of level of experience needs to establish a baseline knowledge and understanding of airsoft, the equipment, the gaming styles, safety aspects of the sport, team values and principles, the norms by which the team is govern, ethical conduct expected from every member and the history of the team.
The course was design to allow the new member the opportunity to take an in-depth look at airsoft and its application as a competitive sports over a period of three months. At the end of the course each operator will be tested on his basic knowledge and skills.
The course is broken down in 19 modules which focus on every aspect of airsoft from A to Z. During the basic operator course new members will train considerably on shooting skills and equipment familiarization, they will develop skills as an individual operator and gain the knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain their gear.
Operators will be evaluated throughout the course in order to assess their level of knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course a written test will be given in order to determine if they meet the baseline knowledge and understanding of the sport in order to move to the next level of training and determine what role is best suited to their skills and personality.
This course marks the beginning of your training to prepare you to operate as part of a team. The Advanced Operator course is design to instill the fundamentals of Team Work, patrolling and navigation; basic survival and mountaineering skills will also be learned and practiced.
During the course you will learn about team structure, emphasized your role and responsibilities of members of the team and how it all comes together in order to accomplish the mission and meet team goals. More emphasis will be made on the skills acquired during the basic course, training on shooting skills will be more intense and everything will be done on the move. Most of the training will focus on tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) involved in both offensive and defensive operations.
An in-depth study of formations and movement techniques will be practiced as part of patrolling, movement by two's, three's and fours will be drilled on over and over in order to achieve proficiency.
Candidates will learn to operate in day, night and and in diverse environmental conditions. They will learn to fight in urban areas and become experts in close quarters battle. Operators will continue to improve their skills as individuals and as part of a team thru battle drills, and seeking to enhance their abilities.
The Advanced Scouting and Reconnaissance course (ASR) is a combat leadership development course oriented towards small-unit tactics. It's the most physically and mentally demanding training course.
It's design to develop leadership skills, small unit tactical operations proficiency, intelligence gathering and reporting abilities; and reconnaissance and surveillance skills. The candidate will learn and train to operate within the shadows and perfect stealth abilities. Emphasis will be made on exploiting proper cover and concealment.
Candidates will conduct numerous reconnaissance patrols in order to perfect team movement tactics, techniques and procedures; they will be required to navigate in different environments and terrain for long distances; plan and execute a long range patrol and successfully conduct surveillance and reconnaissance on an objective.
The course is divided in two phases. Phase 1 is Assessment and Selection, and Phase 2 is a two day Field Training Exercise were the team must navigate the terrain and maneuver behind enemy occupied lines undetected to conduct surveillance and reconnaissance on an objective and successfully report details of a target. This is a Tab generating course.
Communications is by far one of the most neglected and poorly used skills in Airsoft. This course has been developed to train all operators on both basic and advanced radio communication operations. This will allow for a better understanding of how to setup and configure radios and the use of proper protocols in order to utilize radio communications as a means to share and relay information. This course is 60% lecture and 40% hands on.
The Survivor course has been developed to teach operators about living and operating in the field. You will learn about camping, hiking, trailing, orienteering, land navigation, canoeing, rappelling, rafting, emergency field medicine, and basic thru advanced survival skills. The intent of this course is to prepare you for a life of outdoor living in and environment rich with Fauna and Flora such as Panama. This course is 30% lecture and 70% hands on.
The purpose of this course is to prepare you to operate against larger opposing forces using unconventional tactics and techniques. This course is physically demanding and it requires completion of all entry level membership courses, one year of membership in order to be eligible for Special Warfare Selection. After Selection the operator must complete a scenario tailored mission with at least 70% of the objectives completed successfully. This is a patch generating course.
The Sniper Specialization course teaches the advanced operator to maximize concealment and minimize detection while engaging targets from distances exceeding targets detection. During this course the operator will learn how to make his own guillie suit from scratch and how to properly camouflage his self and equipment, estimate ranges/distances and effectively employ a Sniper or Designated Marksman Rifle. This course is 20% lecture and 80% hands on.
The Medic Course was created to incorporate a support element that will maintain the team in the game and to take control in the event of a real world life threatening emergency. This course require a certification in First Aid and CPR. Once completed the medic will need to maintain his skills and certification in order to remain a medic. He will need to be familiar with the medic game rules and any platform used. This course is 60% lecture and 40% hands on.
All operators will be provided with a study guide and the necessary materials in order to prepare for the amateur radio operator B license exam. This will allow the operator to communicate via radio on government approved bands within authorized frequencies legally. This will also allow us to communicate effectively with the use of repeaters regardless of environmental conditions and to assist in emergencies and natural disasters.
This course is design to teach the fundamental tactics, techniques and procedures to conduct small team slow and deliberate structural based clearance during day or night time operations. Shotgun , Sub-machine guns and Pistols will be introduced in employed in an urban setting were space and how it's used plays a very important role. This training is 20% lecture and 80% hands on.
The Light Machine Gun is considered the hearth and soul of any Squad or Section, its no different for an SAT. It brings fire power to any element that can set the tempo to easily change the tide of battle. During this training, operators will learn how to use, maintain and employ the Light Machine Gun. This course is 30% lecture and 70% hands on.
